The New York Championship is one of thirty regional events leading up to the World Yoga Asana Championships held in Los Angeles in February. The competition was held on January 17, 2008 and displayed the beauty and grace of some of the Tri-State area’s most dedicated Yogis and Yoginis. Each participant demonstrates seven postures (five compulsory and two optional.) Participants are judged by their grace and execution of the postures.
